Switching a UV Cure Process from Arc Lamp to LED

Arc lamps are broad and powerful, but they dim over life, need warm-up, and eat consumable lamp modules. Moving a settled process to LED trades broad spectrum for a fixed wavelength, and buys instant on/off, stable output, 20,000-hour sources, and no more lamp swaps. The migration is mostly a wavelength match and a dose requalification.

An arc lamp emits many wavelengths; an LED emits one band.   1. 1 Confirm the adhesive’s cure band. Check the datasheet: does it cure at 365, 385, 395, or 405 nm? If yes, LED is viable. If it needs broad-spectrum UVB/UVC, keep the arc source.
